The city streets, lamppost, and lonely roads

They no longer shine or glow

Nor the stars that used to light the black skies in the damp nights

I'll stay by you even when darkness grows

I'll swear it on my burn-out soul

You're always in my arms

These buds of life still try to linger on

Even in this dying era, they try wait for the dawn

See it?

If you try to close both of your eyes

You'll notice that pulse in your heartbeat, is softer

Just as the cold wind had blown right through

Waves in the green grass, also caressing my wet cheeks

I'll hold you close to me, watch you fall asleep

While all life on this globe is meeting its end

If darkness should trap you in drunk tainted hold

I won't ever let you go

Like smell of flowers and sounds of insects ever-present

Know that when our lives have come undone

I can still feel your last touch

Your hands entwined with mine

As we walk so slowly through the land

It's so empty, nothing is left; your footsteps create soothing rhythm

When my hands are cold and have no one

You grasp and warm up my small palms, so tenderly

Even if there's nothing for us to find

If this Earth has only the two of us left

It's okay

As long as you're still here my friend

I'll be alright if you're all I have now

Let's roll down this hill we once did long ago

This thick forest covered in mold

And rocky plains piled up, they wait for us to explore them

Let's head down this path without getting lost

I won't hesitate no more

I'll illuminate the world

The city streets, lamppost, and lonely roads

They no longer shine or glow

Nor the stars that used to light the black skies in the damp nights

I'll stay by you even when darkness grows

I'll swear it on my burn-out soul

You're always in my arms

If darkness should trap you in drunk tainted hold

I won't ever let you go

Like smell of flowers and sounds of insects ever-present

Know that when our lives have come undone

I can still feel your last touch

Your hands entwined with mine
