Dancing In a Field of Pansies
Lucius looked around the ballroom of Malfoy Manor, his eyes sliding over the forms dancing to the current song looking for one person in particular. He zeroed in on the black hair pinned up graciously, following the curve of her neck to the scandalously low backless purple dress Ms Parkinson had worn to the charity gala that he(more like Narcissa) was throwing for war orphans. Her head was now thrown back in laughter at something his son said. When she leaned in to kiss him that was when Lucius had enough watching.
Stalking up to them he elegantly greets his son and his wife, "Draco, may I have a chance to dance with this lovely wife of yours?" Suspension clear in Draco's eyes, he nods his head passing Pansy's hand to his father.
Lucius guides Ms Parkinson to the dance floor and pulls her as close as he appropriately can. Pansy looks at him with fury in her eye, "What the hell is this?", she hisses at him through clenched teeth.
Lucius pulling his lips in to a delectable smirk, "Oh dear can't I dance with my daughter-in-law?"
"No Mister Malfoy, you can't. Not after-" She cuts herself off and just glares at him.
"Pansy, back to calling me Mister Malfoy? After all a few short hours ago you were screaming my name as I was above you."
"Yes. It was a one time thing." She replied faltering in her glare after seeing the smoldering look in his eyes.
"That's what you say every time darling."
A/N This was written for the Pairing the Character Drabble Competition on the Harry Potter Fanfiction Challenge Forum. It was an idea that sprung me out of nowhere. This also happens to be the first drabble for a competition I've written and published so I'm kinda proud.
