Nigel did not know what was it about Kuki that fascinated him.

He ponders over it one day at breakfast, while she tries to grab a box of Rainbow Monkey cereal from the top most shelf of the kitchen cabinet. Her too-long, too-green sleeves lag behind, barely inches away from the monkey-cereal and Nigel watches from the doorway, as she pouts at her small failure.

Numbuh Five always had it in herself to snicker every time she caught him pondering like this; and often she seemed amused. He, however, didn't care to hear why that was; he already knew what she was thinking. And he does not have a crush on Numbuh Three. He doesn't.

He doesn't.

So Numbuh One, whilst standing at the doorway just trying to 'figure out' what was it about Numbuh Three that fascinated him, tells himself what he tells himself every time in a situation like this; it's the hair.

He nodded, just as Kuki turns to the side and lets her jet-black hair flow across her back. Messy bangs cover her sleepy-Chinese eyes and she pushes them away with a stroke of her always-covered fingers. She turns around just a bit more, but by that time, Nigel's already gone.

He tells himself as he walks down the hall what he always tells himself in a situation like this. "It's just the hair."

It was. It really was.

Drabble-ish :)

It occurs to me that Three has all this hair and One….not. Lol. Maybe it's a crush, maybe not. Could be both ways. Temme what you guys thought. What it was and anything otherwise, too :P

PS: First KND fic to be posted online, ever. Be nice, maybe? :3
