This poem was completely spontanious and started as another "write it as it happens," then I found another meaning besides just the first verse: Raven and Dove. There's not a story to follow this poem yet. There will be soon, though.

Not love at all. Dove realizes the bond they have, and so does Raven. The problem is that Raven's fearful of it. She doesn't like to get close to people, as we all know. So here Dove's trying to tell her it's all okay and she can't deny the truth.

Raven's secret-keeper

How can I hear your whispered words?

How can I see your covered pains?

How can I know you're here

when you hide yourself in the rain?

-----

You don't believe me,

I know it's true.

But don't deny it -

I still see you.

-----

You've got to trust me -

I know all your pain.

Look beyond the chilling wind

and listen to the rain.

-----

You hear soft secrets

and hide from the words

Please, stop your running,

don't believe in your nerves.

-----

They've only held you down all along

don't let the past scare you away

You know I care, Raven, I beg you -

stop pushing me away!

-----

I'm here if you need me,

don't listen to lies,

I still hear your whispers

and see through your eyes

-----

Look inside and just let the truth surface

When it's out in the open, it's far from the amiss

-----

Let yourself see the sun

don't search for another way out

you hear my whispers, and I'm the same -

I hear you, you don't have to shout

-----

You recoil from the thought

of letting me see

don't let this scare you

it's far from your reality

-----

There's no way to reject it

you're only lying to yourself

If you won't let me see you,

your wounds I cannot help.

-----

You don't seem to get it

you take to the sky

whenever I tell you

I'm willing to try

-----

Why, Raven, WHY?!

How many hours must we spend

before you have faith

and believe again?
