Title: 'In the Name of Science'
Disclaimer: I do not own Torchwood, it belongs to the BBC.
Spoilers: In later chapters probably Fragments and the Torchwood book Trace Memory.
Rating: Well, as Torchwood itself is rated a 15 lets just say that, so basically T.
Drip.
They say that in moments before death, your life flashes before your eyes.
Drip.
Her life however, had been stolen from her, none of it played before her mind's eye.
Drip.
Emotion gripped her, then let go, not returning again.
Drip.
Her mind, and body, was numb.
Drip.
The gaping hole in her head did not lead much to the imagination, of what that magnificent organ one would call the brain looked like.
Drip.
She could hear the blood, rolling off the table, falling upon the cold, white floor of the mediocre operating theatre.
Drip, Thump.
Her heart, weakening by the second, beat a loud rhythm on her ear drums.
Drip, Thump.
Each beat told her, she was still alive.
Drip, Thump.
And each beat disappointed her.
Drip, Thump.
Drip, Thump.
Drip, Thump.
CRASH!
The heavy doors that led to the theatre swung open, revealing an angel in a RAF coat, holding up an old fashioned Webley revolver, illuminated in the dimming sunset that streaked in from a window behind him.
Drip, Thump.
The angel rushed over, by now aware that the laboratory had been evacuated a mere thirty minutes before, or there about.
Drip, Thump.
Drip, Thump.
Drip.
Drip.
She smiled up at the angel, her angel, grateful for what was coming next.
No Thump.
That was a bad day for Captain Jack Harkness.
Hope you all liked, I'll be updating Godsend soon, but I just can't get chapter 3 right. Not to mention it's coming up to Chrimbo and College is getting heavy.
Anyway, that's just a taster, more to come, I promise.
Thanks to DemonChildeKyra for proof reading this for me, your a gem!
