I was just dancing. Big deal, I did it all the time. Each night meant a different club, but tonight was different. There were no more new clubs in the area for me to go to, so I had to repeat. I couldn't help the urge to dance, alone or not. So what did I do? I danced by myself. I could feel eyes on me although I couldn't tell from where. I looked around, trying to figure out who it was, but I gave up considering the club was packed. No one really stood out to me until I felt two cold hands on my swaying hips. I stopped dancing, trying to avoid the urge to jump… or punch the guy that dared put his hands on me. I turned around, looking into the face of none other than Spike. Naturally he was at a club, I just didn't realize he was at this club. "'Ello luv," he said just loud enough to hear over the music. "Are you gonna keep dancing or did I come over here for nothing?" Spike flirted. I blushed. 'Since when do I blush???' I yelled in my head. "No, you didn't come over here for nothing," I replied coyly. I started dancing again, my nice hips swaying back and forth in his grip. Spike pulled me closer. "Now Faith, there's no need to tease," he whispered in my ear. My breath caught in my throat. Spike started kissing down from my ear, down my neck, over onto my exposed shoulder. I still couldn't breathe, but even if I could, his kisses down my neck would have taken my breath away. I looked back at him. "What are you doing?" I asked cautiously. "Mhmmm… proving that I love you," Spike said, his lips moving against my skin. I breathed out a loud breath. "That's good to know," I breathed out. Spike nodded. He turned me around so I was facing him. He pulled me in close and our lips were just about to touch. So close. So close…
I awoke, lying on my single mattress bed in the concrete cell I was stuck in for the next 25 years to life. My eyes adjusted to the harsh lights that had just turned on. "Morning ladies," I heard the matron yell from the long hall outside. I sighed. "Just a dream," I whispered to myself. With that, I stood up from my bed, walking towards the barred door and standing on the inside of it, waiting for them to let me out for breakfast. 'Just a dream,' I thought with a dramatic sigh. Oh well, I'd just wait for nightfall again, and have the same dream. I'd be happy for the midnight hours, just dreaming of being back in his arms. He'll come for me soon. I know he will.
