The idea for this story was given to me by Boris Yeltsin. Ji Yeon is one and KImi and Lil are three.
Kimi and Lil had just been dropped for Ji Yeon's first ever sleepover. It was girls only and they had the whole playroom to themselves.
"What do you want to do first?' Kimi asked.
"We could play with my blocks or my Minnie Mouse train that I got for my birthday." Ji Yeon suggested.
"Those are baby toys." Lil said noticing a baby doll on the floor. She picked it up."I know. We can play house."
"That's a great idea." Kimi cried excitedly."I want to be the mommy."
"Ok I'll be the auntie who comes to visit." Lil added.
"What can I be?" Ji Yeon asked.
"You get to be my baby." Kimi told her.
Ji Yeon sighed. Everytime they played house at daycare she and all the other smaller kids got stuck being the babies. She wanted to be the mommy for once, but didn't say anything because before he left for his own sleepover with Tommy, Chuckie, and Phil, Min Jun told her she had to be a good host and play what the guest wanted.
"Ok. Fine. I'll be the baby." Ji Yeon relented.
The older girls got to work making the playroom look more like a house. They got out all the play food and dishes and set them up on the small pink table in the corner.
"Ok. I think we're ready." Kimi announced.
"Ok." Lil said going to the hallway that lead to the stairs. She knocked on the wall.
"Come in." Kimi called.
Lil made her way into the room and sat on the couch.
"Something stinks." Lil commented holding her nose.
"Sorry guys." Ji Yeon blushed.
"It's ok. I'll just change you real quick." Lil offered. Ji Yeon layed down on the carpet and let Lil change her daiper.
"You're a lot easier to change then Dil." Lil said once she had finished."I had to change him once and he moved around so much he got pee everywhere."
"Now it's time for a bottle." Kimi announced grabbing the pink bottle that was half full off the small table next to the couch.
"I can do it myself." Ji Yeon said grabbing the bottle from Kimi and taking a drink. She ended up taking to bg of a drink though and some of the milk spilled out of her mouth and onto her pink shirt.
"Here. I'll help you." Kimi offered removing the wet shirt and holding the bottle so she could drink more.
Ji Yeon was done playing so she pushed the bottle away.
"I don't want to play anymore. Let's play something else." Ji Yeon suggested.
"But we're having fun." Kimi whined.
"Well I'm not." Ji Yeon snapped.
She was saved from throwing a temper tantrum in front of her friends by her mom coming down the stairs.
"It's time for dinner." Mi Sun told them as she picked up Ji Yeon. The older girls followed her upstairs.
"She spilled milk on her shirt." Kimi explained the reason why Ji Yeon was only in a daiper.
"It's ok. We're having spaghetti so I would've taken her clothes off anyway." Mi Sun said putting Ji Yeon in her high chair. She then placed plates of spaghetti in front of the girls.
Kimi was a little disappointed at not having meatballs in her spaghetti like her mom makes, but didn't say anything to be polite. The spaghetti still tasted good.
Once they had all eaten it was bath time. Ji Yeon was the only one who really needed a bath but the girls wanted to help. After filling the tub with water and bubbles, Mi Sun set Ji Yeon in the water and let her play for a few minutes while the girls brushed their teeth. The phone rang and Mi Sun went to answer it since Ji Yeon was sitting in floating seat where she couldn't fall into the water.
"We should help get her clean." Lil suggested since Kimi wanted to continue playing house. They both grabbed a wash rag and put some soap on it and began washing Ji Yeon's face, making sure to get all the spaghetti sauce off. She fought them and threw some toys at them, but they eventually got her all clean.
"You guys stop." Ji Yeon yelled splashing both girls."I told you I don't want to play house no more."
"But we're just getting you clean." Kimi said.
"Yeah. Your mommy would do it but she's on the phone." Lil added.
Ji Yeon glared and began to chew on a rubber duckie. Kimi and Lil began to scrub her again making her cry becuase they wouldn't listen.
Mi Sun came back into the bathroom hearing the commotion.
"What's wrong?" She asked picking Ji Yeon up and wrapping her up in a towel. Ji Yeon clamed down once she was wrapped up.
"We got her all cleaned for you." Lil said proudly.
"Thank you. It's time for bed now." Mi Sun told them.
After changing Ji Yeon into some soft feetsie pajamas with Hello Kitty on them, Mi Sun helped Lil and Kimi into there pajamas and made a bed on the floor for them. She had offered them Min Jun's bed but they wanted to sleep in Ji Yeon's room.
"How come your mommy didn't cover you up with a blankie?" Lil asked once the light was off. She had noticed that Mi Sun had put Ji Yeon in her crib with a blanket but didn't cover her with it.
"Cause my jamas are warm enough." Ji Yeon explained.
"Well I'll jelp you cover you up so you don't get cold." Kimi offered pushing herself out of the pile of blankets and going over to Ji Yeon's crib.
"No I don't want your help anymores. Just leave me alone and go to sleep." Ji Yeon snapped kicking the blanket off that Kimi covered her with.
The next morning the girls walked into the living room to find Mi Sun changing Ji Yeon's daiper. she ahd it halfway on. The next thing they saw was the front door opening anf Jin walked in. Ji Yeon saw her father had come home so she rolled over and proceeded to crawlt to him with the daiper still halfway on. Mi Sun quickly grabbed her by the foot and finsihed putting the daiper on.
"There. Now you can go see appa." Mi Sun told her in Korean patting her bottum to let her she could. Ji Yeon crawled to her dad who picked her up.
"How did you sleep?" Mi Sun asked when she noticed the girls watching them from the doorway.
"Good." Lil answered. Kimi didn't say anything. She didn't know what to say after last night. She just wanted to go home. She was only trying to help and Ji Yeon was being an ungreatful brat.
Kimi and Lil sat at the table waiting for breakfast. As they waited they noticed Ji Yeon let Jin feed her a bottle.
"She got mad when we did that." Kimi commented somewhat angrily.
After breakfast Mi Sun was preparimg to go to work. She would drop the girls off at the Java Lava on the way. This gave the girls time to talk. They were in the backseat of the car.
"You said you don't like being like a baby but you let your parents do it." Kimi said to break the silence.
"That's cause they're my parents. I like it when they do but I don't like it when older kids treat me like a baby." Ji Yeon explained.
"Oh ok." Kimi said looking out the window.
"Next time we play house, you can be the mommy and we'll be the babies." Lil said.
"That sounds fun." Ji Yeon said.
"Yeah. It would be fun to act like a baby again." Kimi added.
