The conviction in her voice unsettled him.
"I'm fighting too." The flare in her dark eyes as she said it told him that she wouldn't back down. She had always held her ground when it came to what she believed.
He growled to himself. She didn't understand! He didn't want her to get hurt. And he'd be damned if she did.
"You ain't going!"
Even with this proclamation she got her bow and arrows. She ignored his anger and went to their friends, their comrades.
He finally calmed down. She can help herself, he told himself. But if something happens… He didn't know what he would do.
