The unblemished skin of her midriff was visible for the world to see through the enormous gash in her dress. Sakura looked down at the torn garment in dismay. The dress had steadfastly survived all of Team Seven's misadventures only to fall at the hands of a hungover Sannin.

Said Sannin stood unamused at the other side of the training field. "Sakura, if you're about to insist that you need to go change clothes, I might have to reconsider taking you on as an apprentice."At this, Sakura looks up from the gaping tear in the dress to stare at the Godaime.

When Sakura had first seen the dress, she had thought this will be the dress that makes Sasuke-kun fall in love with me. She had been sure that the elegant red and white paired with her soft pink hair and vibrant green eyes would turn her into a beautiful princess.

Now, she just wanted to laugh.

Sakura stood up and with shaking hands, she took hold of the rip and tore the bottom half of the dress off. The effect was a rather ragged cropped top.

"Give me more credit than that, Tsunade-shishou," Sakura said. "I know what my priorities are."

She didn't look back at the scraps of cloth on the ground.

Note: This is a 64 theme challenge all about Haruno Sakura, issued by songstar13 and accepted by yours truly.

Note: Themes are listed at the top of each chapter (this chapter's theme is "rip").

Note: This will not sugarcoat Sakura Haruno because she is a weak character in many respects. If you want Sakura-bashing, however, you're at the wrong place.

Note: A song I think suits Shippuden-Sakura really well: "Rolling Girl" by Wowaka (feat. Hatsune Miku). I read the English translation and thought of her.
