I don't own Naruto, ect. If I did, there would be more Yaoi and less dying.

Every day at school Deidara glanced over at Sasori then looked back at his books. Well, he hoped he glanced. More often he stared at the redhead. And the redhead did not stare back.

It was one of the best days of Deidara's life when Sasori asked if Deidara wanted to sit at their lunch table. Sure, Sasori's friends were a little weird, but so was Deidara, and he fit in perfectly with the 'Akatsuki'. They were the unofficial anime club of the school, and didn't give a damn about who respected them. Consequentially, people did. And the whole in Deidara's heart began to fill in, just a little.

It was the one of the worst days of Deidara's life when Sasori announced he was going out with a girl in his woodworking class. Deidara cried himself to sleep a lot, and became more withdrawn. Even Sasori noticed, although Konan was the only one to come up with the courage to comfort him. But the love made him stronger.

It was the best day of his life when, a week after the girl moved away, Sasori asked him out. Deidara danced around the house singing under his breath for the day. His friends all notice his new happiness, though none of them dared comment.

It was almost the scariest day of his life when Sasori kissed him, but it was also the one the most wonderful. This was a cementing of their relationship, a statement that they weren't ashamed of who they were. At school, Sasori's arms often went around Deidara, and they maintained the statement 'just friends' to the school, no matter how many weird looks they got.

It was the scariest day of his life when Sasori didn't show up at school. And that day quickly turned to the worst as he received the news that Sasori wasn't coming back. Victim of a suspicious hit-and-run, no one at the school really realized Sasori was even gone. Deidara was missing from classes for several days, although not many but the Akatsuki noticed that either. Deidara just sat in his room and stared at the wall, refusing to leave or let anyone in.

When Deidara finally came back to school it was a matter of minutes before a smoke alarm went off. When the crowd of students was herded outside, a cloud of smoke hung in the air with a message. Sasori no Akasuna; Rest in Peace. In the middle of the field sat a puppet, with red hair.
