They all looked at Grissom as he said what he said, all in shock. Once he left the room, Warrick looked at Catherine.

"What?"

Catherine shook her head; she had no clue what Grissom had actually meant.

Twelve Days Later

Grissom looked at her face, she was peaceful, finally. Nothing to bother her or to hurt her where she was. Natalie had gotten what she wanted; she had taken the girl he loved away from him. It had pained both him and Sara but now they were at peace, both of them.

"Treat her right Al."

The coroner looked at his friend; the saddened look in his eyes was still present after three days.

"Don't worry Gil, I'll give her my best and send you the results immediately."

Grissom looked down at his girl once again before leaving to make funeral arrangements. Three days later, the team stood in the Los Angeles 'Angel Yard' Cemetery. A priest was giving a prayer as the coffin was lowered into the ground. Grissom looked at the woman beside him; she was in tears as was he. The team was silent in honor of the girl being buried. After the funeral, Grissom went to a grave not far away, his mother's grave; 'Elizabeth Jane Grissom, 1935- 2006', he smiled.

"I want her with you mom so she's with family, you always told me 'family is born together and they die together.' She needs to be with you."

He walked away, going to his car and got in. Before leaving town the next day, he went to the grave yard; he stood looking down at the grave, reading it one more time before going back home; 'Katelyn Hannah Sidle-Grissom, 2007' He turned to see Sara walking to him. Grissom placed an arm around her.

"She was our miracle, we had hope but it wasn't enough."

"Sara, we knew at 21 weeks she probably wouldn't survive but we had hope, that's all we could do, was hope. Now were ever she is, we know she's not alone. My parents are buried over there and my aunt as well. She may not have us but she has them. Why don't we go home?"

"Give me a minute."

"I'll be in the car."

"No, I want you here with me, with us."

Grissom stood as Sara sat on the ground and talked to their daughter for a few minutes. She stood up eventually and looked at him. He looked at the grave and spoke gently to the small stone.

"I love you Katelyn, we both do."

Both walked away from the stone, knowing their child, their baby girl, wasn't alone. They had hope for a future but not forgetting the lose of their first child.
