It was here at last, the day I had been waiting 9 years of my life for. The day that she and I had planned for a year now, our wedding day. Everything was perfect, everything was right. I also felt like I was going to vomit.
"Do I have to repeat what I told you when you two started dating?" Ron Weasley, my best friend, asked. I smiled at him and laughed.
"No, Ron, I know If I hurt her you'll send me to St. Mungos. Ron looked at him and smiled.
"Sorry, Mate, she is my only sister!" I nodded as I rearranged my bowtie. Standing at the front of the alter, waiting for the whole thing to start. I just wanted to see her, my bride-to-be. The future Mrs. Potter. However I had to wait, something I just had never mastered well.
"Harry how you doing?" Hermoine Granger's voice caused me to jump full out of my skin. I didn't know she was standing behind me. She smiled at me as I put a hand to my chest.
"Geeze, Hermione, you know how to give a guy a heartache!" she just smiled, patted me on the shoulder, and than turned around and headed for the back of the church. I looked out at the congregation; everyone I knew was there. Well, almost everyone. My parents and old headmaster and friend were missing, but that was no fault of their own. I knew they would be proud, and were smiling down from wherever they were.
I felt the swell of the music as the doors opened. I nearly went physco as the bridesmaids, than the maid of honor came down the aisle. They are taking too slow! I thought. Than I saw her, my beautiful, beautiful bride-to-be, on the arm of my soon father-in-law. She wore a beautiful, beautiful strapless white flowing gown; you couldn't even see her feet. Her long red hair was gathered gracefully atop of her head, the goblin tiara that had belonged to her Aunt and that her sister in law, Fleur, had let her borrow, was resting there. Looking like it had no place better to be. Her brown eyes shone brighter in the sun that was pouring through the sky light. And she was wearing a smile that made my insides melt like butter on a hot summer's day. I felt like a schoolboy, who'd just discovered hormones for the first time, I couldn't take my eyes off her. I walked up the aisle to where she stood, on the arm of her Father. I reached out my hand and shook Mr. Weasleys.
"Take care of my little girl, Harry" he said shaking my hand, he gave me her hand and kissed her cheek. Her mother, with tears running down her face, stepped out of the aisle and kissed the other. Her eyes watered, but they also glistened with happiness. I took her hand and led her to the alter; lead her to one of the biggest decisions of our lives. Even when we stood before the minister, I couldn't take my eyes off her. My beautiful, stunning, gorgeous Ginevra. I barely heard the minister as he opened the ceremony.
"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today…."
THE END
