When The Waves Crash
Prologue: Storms
He was mine. He always was mine. Until he came along. He got in the way. When he told that he liked him, even if it was only as a friend, I still felt crushed. Hayner was mine. Not his.
I jolted up from my bed by a loud boom of thunder. When did it start storming? I laughed at the thought of it storming while I was thinking of Hayner. He always said that he hated storms. I went onto the balcony to watch it. I wasn't as bad as I thought. After awhile of watching, I heard running, a loud, sharp crack, and screaming. The last two being at about the same time. I jumped off, my balcony being surprisingly close to the ground, and ran. I ran to the sandlot, where I think I heard the scream. I looked around, wondering what the hell happened, and found a small body. I ran over, the smell of blood getting stronger with each step, to see the person that I hated, loved, and hurt all with the same heart(Yes, I do have one.) lying there, bleeding form his cracked skull and broken arm.
Hayner.

His limp body was cold. Very cold. He was bleeding badly. He passed out from the blood loss. I can see why. There was a small pool of blood where his head lay. I picked him up slowly, being careful with his head and arm.
Apparently, I wasn't careful enough.
He let out a sharp scream, almost like a yelp. He looked at me quickly. "Seifer.." he said, and then passed out again.
I tried to pick him up again, succeeding in not hurting his arm. I ran half fast, half slow through the curvy roads of Twilight Town with precision, living there all my life. I looked up at the clouds, praying that Hayner wasn't hurt as bad as he looked.
"Don't die, chickenwuss." I said quietly, noticing his head bleeding profusely and his heartbeat getting slower. "Just, don't die."
