My fingers tapped against the screen of my iphone, one new email from Efriends.
To: Emily

Message: Dear Emily, we have matched you up with an seventeen year old boy, his name is Drew, this is his address -, please do not offend or give out personal information.

I role my eyes at the email, they really do need more practice writing professional looking emails. I became a part of this club in two thousand and six and they have had a hard time paring me up with someone my own age because I tend to offend them. I quickly jot down this 'Drew' guys address and begin to write my letter to him.
Dear Drew, I'm Emily I guess they haven't emailed you, they tend to email me first. So basic questions, I know your seventeen, me too! When's your birthday? Siblings? Occupation (I'm guessing your still in school unless your not from America or Canada.) Do you live with your parents? Are they alive? (Sorry I'm not very sympathetic am I?) I think that's enough for now.Well Drew, I have to go to school now so I guess I'll speak next when I get your letter.- Emily x
I quickly lick the seal and run outside, slipping it in the post box I grin, this could be the start of something great.

A few days later I went into my room to find a brown envelope with my name and address scrawled neatly in black ink over it. I take a deep breath and open it.
Dear Emily,I'm Drew, but you already knew that huh. When I got your letter I was unaware they had already partnered me. Do they always do that? My birthday is the first of march making me eighteen in a month exactly. I have a brother and a sister, Jazmyn and Jaxon. I am at school yeah and I'm from Canada but I live in Atlanta U.S.A, where are you from? I live with my Mom, my Dad lives back in Canada with my siblings and my step Mom. You seem like a pretty funny person Emily, hopefully we can be friends, I need one of those. All those questions right back at you. - Drew.
