A Child cries in the dark
alone, he screams and darkness
presses, shrouding dreams
and vision.
An old man comes.
he stands so tall and
light floods the space
the child stops
picked up by the man.
Odin and Loki
father and son
light and dark
god and giant.
A young boy sits
alone in a chair
books in piles
talking to his father.
his hair is ebony,
his eyes are ice,
and he is cloaked in green.
Another boy rushes in
his hair is golden, eyes
are seas of blue.
the father stands and rushes out
leaving the first boy all alone.
Loki the Trickster,
liesmith and Silvertongue,
alone in a library,
tears on his cheeks.
The first boy,
now a man,
sits on a horse,
an arrow is shot and the horse falls.
the second boy,
now a man,
picks up the first and
away they ride.
Away from the battle,
side by side,
friends forever,
brothers together.
Back to the palace,
princes as one,
their father sits high,
and greets them both.
Loki and Thor,
Trickster and Thunder,
spear and hammer,
magic and strength.
The man steps out
of a portal,
and quickly
defeats his enemies.
He escapes with the cube
along with the agents
their eyes as blue as his.
The second man appears
in the night,
and grabbing his brother,
flies away.
both of them argue,
but a man of iron
arrives,
and takes the second man
out of the sky.
Thor and Loki,
Light and dark,
Avenger and Villain,
opposites and brothers.
