A/N: A very random thought came to me while I was with my brother...
You know that little childish bit when a sibling or friend and you are sharing and using one object, end up having a small argument of who was going to manage whatever you were using once you finished, and start using the "you used it last" or "you touched it last" kind of stuff or something like that? Yeah, I'm sure most of us do. Tch, my sister, Rin, loved torturing me with that.
So one day, we were cutting up some colorful papers to make paper lanterns for an upcoming festival, and we planned to bring some to school and decorate our classroom with them. I must have misplaced my pair of scissors, so Rin and I shared hers. That meant five minutes of waiting before either of us got to use it next.
Rin was taking advantage of this and purposely cut in slow-motion. It irked me, and I could've sworn a vein was forming. Being the patient kind of person, I let her have her way. Still, it killed me. Look, just because she's the older one of us, she's the opposite of me! I don't mean to brag or anything, but I think I'm more of a responsible type of person (at least that's what everyone says). She, on the other hand, can act like a five-year-old most of the time.
"Len, what's wrong? You seem to be in a bad mood." she asked innocently. I almost ripped the blue roll of paper I was clutching. Calm down, Len. Keep cool, she's always been like that anyway. After all, she's already more than willing to lend you her scissors, right? "Nothing. I'm just a bit tired from today's vocal practice..." she smiled smugly and continued snipping, at normal speed this time.
That glorious moment came when she handed the sharp tool to me. In a few minutes, we finally finished and packed up all the things we made. Cleaning up was a pain thanks to the glue on the floor. I picked up the scissors. "Here you go, Rin," I said. "Can you put it in my room? I gotta go meet up with Miku and the others in her house!" she said as she walked away with the remaining rolls of papers. I would've done that without any complaint if she didn't say that little, annoying line.
"You touched it last anyway~!"
Okay. Yep. So this was how it was. War. I smiled evilly as I started chasing her all around the house. She laughed and dropped everything she had been carrying. Our parents were out at work, so the ruckus we were making wasn't too much trouble. I almost tripped over the living room's rug, onto my mom's favorite vase. Good thing I didn't, but I never knew Rin was a fast runner. For the first few minutes of playing cat-and-mouse, it seemed to be fun, but then it became somewhat tiring.
"Come on, Rin, give it up already. I'm tired...!' I said as I struggled between my breaths. I stopped running and crashed onto the couch, panting for air. She came walking in soon after. "Ahahaha, you're pathetic!" I had to laugh at that. It was kinda true. I always had the lowest grades in PE classes. "Fine, give me the scissors. By the way, I was serious about that trip to Miku's place, so I'll be leaving in like, ten minutes, okay?" Aaand that means I'm gonna have to clean up the mess we made all by myself. Nice! "Sure, sure, okay. Here you go." I blindly threw the scissors at her direction with all the strength I had left.
My bad.
A/N: I have nothing much to say here, but... LEN, WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE?! R.I.P Kagamine Rin. You were one of my favorite Vocaloids ever. Second to GUMI.
