It was 2 a.m and Gwen had just got a call from Jack telling her to come to the Hub. Rhys had just awoke and was ranting on about how she is never at home anymore.
''Don't be silly Rhys'' Gwen had said as she was about to head out the door. ''It's this job, you know me, can never get enough of work!'' said Gwn with a smile.
''NO Gwen, I don't know you anymore, you come home one day, say you have this new job and are always with them!'' Exclaimed Rhys with a look of disgust on his face. He was right though, Gwen did spend all of her time with Jack and the rest of the team, just last week she was out with Rhys and got called on an alien hunt.
FLASHBACK
''This is great Gwen, just the two of us and you finally got a day of,'' Rhys said staring into her eyes with a smile.
''Yeah, After I begged and begged to get a break from office work'' Gwen said, witch was completly untrue and she knew it, Jack had to force her to take the day of and spend it with Rhys but she kept trying to refuse, in the end she just gave up because no one can win a fight when Jack's involved.
Rhys had just ordered the food and wine when Gwen's mobile beeped. She looked at the text, and very clearly, printed across the middle of the screen, was the very familiar word, 'TORCHWOOD'. Gwen stood up and grabbed her coat. Rhys' expresion was a mix of confusion and anger, ''Sorry! It's an emergency!'' Gwen explained, with an apologetic look.
''FINE, GO!'' shouted Rhys, his face almost turning scarlet with fury. Gwen looked at him for no longer than a moment and ran out of the restaraunt leaving people all around staring at Rhys now sitting alone with 2 meals at the table.
END OF FLASHBACK
Gwen snapped out of her daydream and with one final glance at the still furious Rhys, she ran out the door and headed for the Hub.
