Roach grimaced and leaned further onto Ghost. The lieutenant was helping his younger friend to his quarters from the infirmary, which of course was on the other side of the base. Roach had a little " accident" during their most recent mission and now had a concussion and broken arm.
" This is your fault." The sergeant mumbled as they limped down the endless seeming hallway. Ghost scoffed.
" Oh really?"
" Yeah."
" And how's that?"
" It was your idea to cross by the rooftops."
" So?"
Roach turned to him and narrowed his light green eyes.
" The fucking roof wasn't stable!"
"…. Only were you were standing."
" I fell through four floors!"
" So the floors weren't stable either, I don't see how that's my bloody fault."
Roach groaned and leaned his head against his friends shoulder as they neared his room. He was suddenly to tired to really care whose fault it was. In fact, he was suddenly relived Ghost was there to drag him to bed.
" Ghost?"
" Ey?"
" Thanks for caring enough to drag me to my room, you're an awesome fried man."
The Englishman rolled his icy blue eyes and smiled.
" They pumped you full of enough pain killers to numb a horse, didn't they?"
" You have no idea man, the wallpaper is purple right now."
" Great."
After a few seconds of walking in silence Ghost stumbled as all of Roach's wait suddenly fell onto him. He looked and found that the thin soldier had actually fallen asleep while walking. Ghost shook his head and scooped the younger man into a bridal carry.
" Were would you be without me to carry you to bed every night Gary?"
In a sleepy daze Roach sighed and nodded slowly.
" You're a great friend Simon." He announced dreamily.
" Damn right I am you bugger."
" I love you man."
" Lets not go that far mate."
" My arm hurts."
" I know, I know, just shut up until we get you to your room."
" Kay."
A few minutes later…
" It's a good thing your small." Ghost laughed to himself as he tenderly lowered Roach onto his bed and tucked him in. He stood at the door for a few minutes to make sure his friend was going to stay asleep before finally turning the knob.
" I don't baby him, MacTavish is just an arse." The lieutenant assured himself as he switched off the light and left for his own quarters.
I know this wasn't that great, I didn't know what to write but I was soooo bored!
