A/N: Little One-Shot I wrote a long time ago.
Out And Proud
"Are you ready at last?"
"Almost" she yelled back, although it was barely hearable in the room next to one she was in. She was standing in front of the mirror applying her make-up while trying to get her shoes on at the same time. She succeeded with her right shoe, but failed with the left one. She tripped and fell over the toilet before clumsily landing in the bath.
A burst of laughter erupted from the door opening and an evil glare was all it needed to make it stop again, although you could still hear a small giggle.
"I know you can regenerate, but you don't have to prove it to me by braking one or two legs. Just hurry up, Claire, so we can go."
Claire glared at her and once again placed herself in front of the mirror. A displeased grunt when she saw her face covered in make-up filled the bathroom. Claire rolled her eyes and put her left shoe on. She noticed the heel was broken and she stormed out of the bathroom looking for other shoes that fit with her dress.
The person just watched Claire with a hint of amusement on her face.
"Wipe that grin from your face quickly Elle!" Claire shot a glare at Elle when she passed her entering the bathroom yet again.
This only caused Elle to laugh harder. "Relax Claire. Everything is going to be fine."
"And how do you know that?" Claire sneered, while fixing her hair.
"I don't." Elle stated. "But I do know we are going to live on, no matter what they tell you or even me." Elle walked towards Claire and wrapped her arms around her from behind. "Don't we look cute together." They both smiled now, even though the frustration and nervousness was still evident on Claire's face.
Elle just pressed a kiss against Claire's temple before releasing her.
"Now let me help you." Elle said, not really asking it. She grabbed the hairbrush and placed it on top of Claire's head. Claire grabbed her mascara and fixed her smeared make-up as Elle combed her hair.
"I want you to look pretty."
Claire stopped applying her make-up and gave Elle a confused look through the mirror.
"I mean, it's not like I get to tell Noah often I am doing his beautiful daughter."
