He stood a few feet from the edge of the cliff staring at the black water that crashed against the rocks below, mesmerised. Who would miss him other than his sons and daughter? Certainly not Ginny, who had cheated on him in the worst way possible, she had slept with Draco Malfoy. The man who would have laughed at the thought of his death, let alone suicide.

"Harry…" a soft voice called from behind him. He looked up from the crashing waves and turned just slightly to see who the speaker was. Luna.

"Go away," he replied, his voice cracking.

"She's not worth it Harry," Luna continued. Luna had grown up so much in the last twenty years. She was still dreamy but had gained the ability to be serious as time had progressed. She was serious now as the wind whipped at her face and ruffled her dirty blonde hair. For a second Harry wondered how she knew where he was, and what he was thinking, before he decided he didn't care. He took a step closer to the cliff's edge.

"Leave me alone Luna!" he ordered loudly. Luna shook her head.

"I can't leave you like this. You'll do something stupid." Her tone was sharp. She wasn't going to give in.

"I have nothing to live for," Harry whispered. Luna shook her head once more.

"You have friends. You have me," she disagreed. Harry turned his head to look at her.

"What use are friends without love? I'm no better loved than Voldemort was. I may as well be dead."

"I love you."

The statement hung in the air for a few minutes, both of them were silent.

"You can't mean that," Harry said quietly, breaking the silence.

"I don't lie Harry, least of all to you," Luna replied, holding out her hand for him to take "Without you I would have never known friendship or love. I would have been alone." Harry was unsure what to say and, without thinking, walked over to the blonde and took her hand. Luna smiled at him and Harry couldn't help but smile back. Luna had the most genuine smile he had ever seen. "Come on," she whispered "Let's get you home."
