Hiiiiii I'm ivey :) uhmmmm well this story is actually pretty much the opposite of the original my girl movie, it's a different girl. Different era. Just plain different. But it had the same casualties as the original. Unlike the original my girl, the lead girl is actually 17, and actually is based off of now! (2014)

well enough chit chat, here you are!

The years of Melody Carter. I don't know why, or even how some people bother to find love. Love isn't something to hunt, it's something to wait for. To build confidence in yourself, before you do in others. See, I've never really understood love myself. I've just witnessed it a lot in my life. My name's Melody Carter. I live in Anaheim,California. And everyday is just a joy. I get up, get dressed, and go to school just like every other 17 year old . But, what happens after school is a whole different story. My mom works as a doctor, at the Anaheim Memorial Medical Center. Everyday I see people die, and then some I see survive. I see partners, family members, and friends mourn and pray for their love one's. I only wish I could do something. For all of them. I am the entertainment for my mom's patients. I get balloons, stuff animals, I sing, and play the guitar or piano for them. Man, just to see they're face when I'm playing/singing they're favorite songs, or giving them flowers or balloons. It just makes my day to see those kids, or senior citizens. It's like seeing a baby bird fly for the first time, or to hear a baby's first laughter.

Chapter 2

I just got out of school, got some coffee for me and mom, and now I was on my way to the hospital. It was freezing, and it was only 3:30which is a record for California. I was riding my bike from Starbucks, to the hospital when suddenly I hit a rock and crashed into a Bush. Crap it hurt. And when I looked down at my jeans, I saw blood. I touched it then looked at my hand, crap, yep definitely blood. I quickly got up, and pulled my long brown hair into a messy bun " Are you ok?" I heard a deep voice say in the distance. I optimistically turned around to see who it was, but whoever the mysterious voice was left me in complete wonder. As I turned around I picked up my bike, I didn't really feel like riding my bike anymore, I felt like walking. So walking I did When I got to the hospital, Sallie ( My mom's co worker ) admittedly ran to me, And asked me if I brought her coffee , I smiled and shook my head, " No Sal, I didn't. I'm sorry I wasn't expecting you to be here this early I'm so so-" she cut me off before I could pronounce sorry, " Shush sugar, it's all good. Ill just ask Paula for some Dunkin." Sallie was the type of person that, even if you were the Grinch, you would smile if you saw her sunshine face. I was walking into room number 135, when I felt a strong, broad, hand touch my shoulder, " Hey." I turned around, and saw a guy, with piercing, ice blue eyes. " Hi." I softly said, as I examined his face to understand who this guy was, I felt like I remembered the deep voice, but in ways didn't. He looked down at me, and said, " Sorry I left you back there in the street , I was late for volunteer work hours here. But, are you seriously ok?." Now it made sense, that deep voice was the same as the street voice, that once asked if I was ok I looked up at him awkwardly, and smiled, " Yeah, I'm fine." I looked at my phone, and noticed it was already 4:35 in the afternoon. "Hey it's been nice talking, but I seriously gotta go so
