How come we've drifted so far apart?
We used to be family, brothers who practically shared a heart.
Our lives used to be filled with love, fun, and laughter,
Now it's only filled with hate, despair, and disaster.
Even though we've had our different ways,
We've somehow managed to compromise, we'll at least on certain days.
I would give my life for you, and that much is true.
But if it were I, would you do the same for me as I did for you?
We both had our own goals in mind,
But now each day they get pushed further and further behind.
When I was gone for so long,
You didn't manage to keep going on.
When I came back, I guess I expected to see the person I used to know.
But now each time I look at you I consider you a foe.
Each day I think; how could you have lost trust in me?
You thought you were doing the right thing, but were only being betrayed by the enemy.
I don't want to have to do what dad said,
But we'll just have to see what lies ahead.
I want my old Sammy back,
haven't we already been over that?
One day I hope we can fix this, but I'm afraid we can not.
You see, for this is the reason we've drifted so far apart.
