Note: AU! where Romione didn't happen

Parvati stared at the item held in her hands. She bit her lip as her eyes swept back to the giver of the item.

"What do you think?" the giver asked, scratching the back of his head as a blush graced his cheeks.

Parvati was a woman of fashion. She had seen others wearing one of these before, but never thought that she'd be one of them.

"Well...Ron…" Parvati swallowed. "It's certainly vibrant."

The wavering smile on Ron's face grew. "Is it really?" he asked. "Mum wasn't around, so I had to do it myself. I'm not the best at knitting…"

"No kidding," Parvati muttered as she peered closer at the fabric of the Weasley jumper. "Ron, did you use a fresh, clean base to knit this?"

Ron drummed his fingers together. "O-Of course I did!"

Parvati looked inside the jumper at the tag at the hem. She gave Ron a blank look. "You knitted on an AC/DC shirt, Ron!"

"I tried, Parvati!" Ron pleaded. "Really I did! Mum wasn't around, and you're part of the family now and…"

Parvati could have been more upset at Ron for attempting to lie, but he was only trying to continue a family tradition on his own for her. Who cares if he left evidence of his attempt at a Weasley jumper on the tag of the shirt?

She sighed and smiled, reaching forward across the table in The Burrow's living room to hug Ron.

"Thank you, Ron," she told him. "It's one of the most romantic gifts you could ever give me."

Ron's face lit up as he returned the hug. "Really?"

Parvati nodded, pulling away with a smile. "Yes, because it came from your heart," she said. "And an AC/DC shirt."

The tips of his ears reddened. "I'm glad you like it, then," he said. "I say we should go out and celebrate."

Parvati snorted. "You just want to eat."

"Knitting takes a lot of work ya know!" Ron protested. "I don't know how Mum does it."

Parvati shook her head amusingly. "Fine, fine. I suggest one of the newer pubs this time, since you keep eating out the others."

Ron happily agreed. "We could both wear our jumpers," he suggested before quickly looking down. "If you want."

Parvati didn't have the heart to tell him no, not with that look on his face. She'd have to endure the Weasley jumper with the touch AC/DC til they returned home. Or at least til Molly came home to work on it. She imagined the woman would have a heart attack once she saw what Ron had given his fiance.

"I'd love to," Parvati answered, taking Ron's hand. With a pleased, hungry Ron dragging her to the apparition beyond The Burrow, Parvati clutched the jumper in her free hand.

It was a hideous jumper, more so than the usual design, but it was her jumper that her fiance knitted for her.
