Description: A normal morning in the home of the Janitor.
Author's Note: I was inspired by the song 'Beautiful Morning With You' by the pillows, so I wrote this!
JD gently opened his eyes. The surroundings were the usual blend of colors that his unawake eyes always saw in the mornings. The bed was so nice compared to the cold air that filled the room. As he moved his stringy body out of the bed (clothed only in the usual gray boxer shorts) the crisp cold morning air made him shiver and his vision sharpen.
He had wondered if he should just get back into bed and forget the day altogether, but thought otherwise once the thought of Doctor Kelso lecturing him about being late and Doctor Cox ranting at him about it too filled his mind.
Lazily walking over towards the dresser he vaguely heard a soft snore come from the bed behind him. He didn't even miss a step as he continued on.
It was normal for his bed buddy to snore softly, most of the time, when he was about to wake.
He quickly dressed himself and walked out of the bedroom and down the narrow hall of his bed buddy's home.
Entering the little kitchen, JD wondered why the Janitor hadn't bought a larger home. He certainly had enough money to…
Oh, right, JD's 'bed buddy' was the janitor. He was so used to it that he had forgotten about the fact that the man who seemed to hate his guts was now somewhat of a boyfriend of his.
The alarm clock blared, making JD jump. He was so used to his singing alarm clock, that he still wasn't used to the Janitor's ringing, dinging, and not singing alarm clock.
The signs of his bed buddy awakening floated into the kitchen. JD knew it all too well:
The alarm clock would be thrown at the wall, crumbling down to the floor, utterly broken; the Janitor's heavy footsteps would be heard coming down the hall and the usual three yawns in a row would come from him; and than he'd walk into the kitchen, open the refrigerator and pull out the ingredients for their breakfast.
For the three weeks JD had lived with the other man, he still wasn't used to it.
The Janitor walked into the kitchen and stalked over to the refrigerator and opened the door. He pulled out the carton of eggs, the orange juice, and the milk. He walked over to the counter and set the items down.
JD sat at the counter and watched the Janitor make breakfast. He wasn't a fantastic cook, but considering that JD couldn't cook at all, he was fine with it.
"Good morning." He greeted happily.
The grumpy janitor looked up from the cooking eggs and at the doctor.
"… Morning…" He grumbled and looked back at the eggs.
The rest of the morning stayed silent between the two. But JD was ok with that, because he knew it was just because the Janitor wasn't a morning person and later that day at work things wouldn't be so quiet.
