This is my first AOT fanfic, and it follows the basic plot of the Shingeki no Kyojin manga itself (for those who haven't read the manga, there may be spoilers)- it follows the ascension of Asuna Thatcher into the Survey Corps. For the sake of skipping a lengthy backstory, I'll tell you a bit about her:
Asuna Thatcher is Erwin Smith's niece; she came to live with him at the age of 12 after the fall of the Mines (which was a colony outside of the walls, located underground). They don't have a very father-daughter relationship, but treat each other like good friends more than anything. Asuna (against Erwin's wishes) joined the Cadettes at age 13- 3 years later, she graduated at the top of her class, and joined her uncle just in time for a new expedition beyond the walls.
She ends up on good terms with Farlan Church, but finds Isabel Magnolia (who always seems to be hanging around him) annoying and avoids her at all costs. Although she sees Farlan and Levi Ackerman often together, the two never seem to notice each other. That is, until Levi attempts to kill Erwin Smith after a blood-filled mission, where she defends her uncle and earns Levi's undying hatred. -if you'd like a side story on this subject, just ask, and I'll write about it! ;3
The fanfic begins two years later, just after the battle of Trost...
