Chapter One:
Apov (Not Alice)
"Lil sis to Teddy Bear, come in Teddy, over." I said into the walky-talky. It was hilarious to use these code names.
Hi. My name is Alyssa Cullen. My two best friends, Jasper and Emmett, and I were spying on my older-brother-by-ten-minutes. He's been sneaking around a lot lately, claiming to go to the music store, or for a walk. Well, today, we followed him. All the way to the park.
"Reporting, Lil Sis. Over." Jasper and Emmett said.
I ran across the parking lot, past Edward's Volvo, and behind a tree. I peeked around it and my jaw dropped.
Edward was stretched out on a blanket, a picnic basket next to him, and his head in a girl's lap while she fed him little pieces of food. He was smiling up at her like he was in love. Oh, my gosh he was. No wonder he had been practically floating on air lately. There was a new spring in his step, he smiled a lot, and I heard him humming in his room last night.
"Oh my gosh! Edward's on a date! With a girl!" I shouted into the walky-talky. "And she's not inflatable!" We'd never actually caught him with a blow-up girlfriend, but we had theories.
"Who is it?" Em asked.
I squinted. Brown hair. Brown eyes. Kind of pretty. I gasped.
"It's Bella Freaking Swan!"
Apov (Alice)
Rose, Ethan, and I were bent down behind a rose bush. My other best friend, Bella had been hiding something for weeks. We finally got fed up and followed her to this exact location.
Forks City Park.
I sneaked a peek up, and my whole body froze in shock.
Bella was sitting on a blanket, next to a picnic basket with a boy's head in her lap. She was happily feeding him little chunks of food as she smiled lovingly down at him.
I fell back on my butt.
"Did you see anything?" Ethan asked excitement evident in his tone.
"Bella's on a date. And she loves him." I said, my eyes still frozen wide.
"Who is she with?" Rose asked, equally excited.
I turned and looked closer. My jaw fell open.
"Edward Freaking Cullen!"
