One shot- Hogwarts resorting
Summary: Harry, Hermione, and Ron come back for 8th year. Imagine their surprise when McGonagall announces that all 7th and 8th years will be re-sorted. See where all our old friends will be sorted. Many are changed after the war.
"And now," said Headmistress Minerva McGonagall, "The 7th and 8th years will be resorted, to promote inter house unity, and to allow students who have changed during the course of the war to exercise their new values and talents. First, we shall do the 8th year students. I am very very please to say that everyone came back except the one student who died, Vincent Crabbe."
The sorting hat called up "Abbott, Hannah." She went from Hufflepuff to Gryffindor.
"Bones, Susan" stayed in Hufflepuff.
"Boot, Terry" stayed in Ravenclaw.
"Brockelhurst, Mandy" went from Ravenclaw to Gryffindor.
"Brown, Lavender" went from Gryffindor to Hufflepuff.
"Bulstrode, Millicent" went from Slytherin to Hufflepuff.
"Corner, Michael" went from Ravenclaw to Gryffindor.
"Davis, Tracey," went from Slytherin to Ravenclaw
"Finch-Fletchley, Justin" went from Hufflepuff to Gryffindor.
"Finnegan, Seamus" stayed in Gryffindor.
"Goldstein, Anthony," went from Ravenclaw to Gryffindor.
"Goyle, Gregory" went from Slytherin to Hufflepuff
"Granger, Hermione" went from Gryffindor to Ravenclaw.
"Greengrass, Daphne" stayed in Slytherin.
"Longbottom, Neville" stayed in Gryffindor.
"Macmillan, Ernest" went from Hufflepuff to Gryffindor.
"Malfoy, Draco" went from Slytherin to Ravenclaw
"Parkinson, Pansy" stayed in Slytherin
"Patil, Padma" went from Ravenclaw to Slytherin
"Patil, Pavarti" stayed in Gryffindor.
"Potter, Harry" went from Gryffindor to Slytherin.
"Nott, Theodore," stayed in Slytherin
"Thomas, Dean" went from Gryffindor to Slytherin
"Weasley, Ronald" went from Gryffindor to Hufflepuff
"Zabini, Blaise" stayed in Slytherin
After the sorting, McGonagall announced, "Before this sorting, we had 3 Hufflepuffs, 5 Ravenclaws, 8 Gryffindors, and 8 Slytherins. Now we have 7 Slytherins, Misters Zabini, Nott, Thomas, and Potter, and Misses Greengrass, Parkinson and Padma Patil. We have also 4 Ravenclaws, Misters Malfoy and Boot and Misses Granger and Davis. We have 9 Gryffindors, Misters Corner, Finch-Fletchley, Finnegan, Goldstein, Longbottom, and Macmillan and Misses Abbott, Brocklehurst, and Pavarti Patil. We have 4 Hufflepuffs, Misters Weasley and Goyle, and Misses Bones and Bulstrode.
The 8 Gryffindors became 2 Slytherins, 1 Ravenclaw, 1 Hufflepuff, and 4 stayed Gryffindors.
The 3 Hufflepuffs became 2 Gryffindors, and one stayed a Hufflepuff.
The 5 Ravenclaws became 1 Slytherin, 3 Gryffindors, and one stayed Ravenclaw.
The 8 Slytherins became 2 Ravenclaws, 2 Hufflepuffs, and 4 stayed Slytherin." she finished announcing. And then, with a sadder air, she said.
"Now we will re-sort the three only 7th years who weren't killed in the battle."
"Creevey, Colin" stayed in Gryffindor.
"Lovegood, Luna" stayed in Ravenclaw.
"Weasley, Ginevra" went from Gryffindor to Slytherin.
The sorting ended, and many people were mad- but the sorting hat's decision was final, and they knew it. (Among those mad were Draco and Hermione, as well as Millicent Bulstrode.)
