What Really Happened
One dark Halloween night, a little girl was born to the Potter family. As the mother came downstairs to get her son to go see his new baby sister, the Dark Lord Voldemort burst though the door. "Lily, it's him! Get the kids and get out. I will hold him off. Go!" James the Father yelled. Then the Dark Lord killed him. Lily ran upstairs, dropped Harry in the crib and started to barricade the door. However, nothing stops the Dark Lord after he decides to kill you."Not the kids! Do not kill them. Kill me. Kill me instead!" Therefore, he did. Harry and the girl (Lily did not have enough time to name her) did not know what was going on. Harry just thought it was his dad making pretty lights. When he saw it was not, he started to cry. Voldemort had never been able to stomach babies crying. He chose to kill him. However, when he cast the deadly curse, Harry did not die. All he received was a lighting shaped scar. Voldemort on the other hand, lost his power. That same night Hagrid, the gamekeeper from Hogwarts, came in moved Voldemort's body, got Harry and the little girl and took them to 4 Privet Drive, their Aunt and Uncle's house. When Professor Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, saw how much the little girl resembled her mother, he named her Lily. He left Harry with his Aunt and Uncle while sending Lily to America. Both growing up, not knowing their past, or about each other.
