The alarm rang, but Sam had been up hours before. "Mom, Dad lets go!" he ran into their room yelling. His dad rolled over, "We're coming, go have some breakfast." Sam ran down the stairs at breakneck speed thinking the faster he ate the quicker he would get to go to Hogwarts. He ate some of last night's leftover pizza. He went over to the closet and pulled out a large trunk full of stuff for Hogwarts. He had read all the books, he had tried to use a lot of the stuff. And now he was finally getting to go to Hogwarts.

His dad came downstairs and was dressed and ready to go. "Let's get this stuff in the car." He said. They carried it out to the car and put it in the trunk. "Lets go, Let's go!" Sam yelled excitedly. His dad climbed in the car and they drove off. They didn't talk the whole car ride because his dad doesn't like to talk while driving.

They soon pulled into Kings Cross Station. "Well Sam, me and your mother will miss you." He gave Sam a hug. Then Sam got his trunk from the car and went into the station. He knew he was supposed to go to platform 9 and ¾ but he didn't know how to get there.

"Excuse me mam, do you know where platform 9 and ¾ is?" He kept asking people. Most gave him a look like, are you crazy? Until finally he asked a boy with an odd lightning shaped scar on his head, and he told him to run though the pillar between platform 9 and 10.

Sam took a few steps back and went off at a run. He went right through and was in another platform where a scarlet steam engine was stationed.

He looked like a stranger and went into an empty compartment and sat down. Why did I come? I don't fit in. He thinks to himself.

Just them the door to the compartment opens and someone steps in. It is a tall boy with brown hair and blue eyes. "Hi, I am Kevin nice to meet you." He held out his hand. Sam shook it and said "I am Sam nice to meet you." Kevin sat down and they talked for a while about what Hogwarts would be like, Kevin was in a pure-blood family. Sam was a muggle as you know.
