As you all probably know, I am currently rewatching NCIS Seasons 3, 4 and 5. At the start of 'Escaped', when Gibbs was looking at the Strawberry Shortcake box, I decided to write a one-shot about it involving Lily. I am really sorry Milly is not in this, but I am definitely going to write a story about her punching Pierre Petite XD. Enjoy guys x
"Daddy, what's this?" Five year old Lily Gibbs asked her Father.
"What is it, Lil?" NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs replied before he went over to her and realized what it was.
"It has Strawberry Shortcake on the front. Can I have a look inside?" Lily said sweetly.
"Come on, let's go upstairs" Gibbs told her.
He took his little girl's hand and they trampled up the stairs before sitting down on the sofa.
"What is it, Daddy?" Lily repeated.
"This box belongs to your big sister Kelly. Kelly's in heaven now with her Mom like my Mom" Gibbs said.
"What's inside it?" His daughter asked.
"Come on, let's open it" Gibbs replied.
And so they did.
"Is that my big sister Kelly?" Lily asked him excitedly as she pointed at the girl in the picture.
"Yep, that's Kelly" Gibbs beamed.
"Who's that?" Lily pointed to the red haired woman that was Shannon.
"That's Kelly's Mom. Remember I told you she's in heaven with Kelly?" Gibbs said.
"Yeah" Lily nodded.
They looked through the rest of the pictures and Lily said something that surprised Gibbs.
"Daddy, why don't I have a Mom like Kelly?" She asked.
"Your Mom loves you very much, she and I just didn't want to be together anymore" he told her.
"OK" Lily replied with a frown.
"I love you baby girl" Gibbs told his daughter as he cuddled her once they had put the box away.
"I love you too Daddy" Lily replied cutely.
Gibbs smiled. He loved Lily, even if Jenny and Milly weren't there with him.
