As Logan and Hank moved by her with the giant tree, Kitty Pryde stepped back to avoid being crushed. Everyone was busy hustling around with last minute changes. Tomorrow was Christmas Eve after all, and Kitty was so excited.

"Tomorrow is Christmas, tomorrow is Christmas…." she chanted. She was so focused on her chanting that she didn't notice Piotr walking by. The two ran into each other with a rather hard force.

"Excuse me Katya, I did not see you there." Piotr said with a slight blush.

"Stop being so polite Pete, it's okay." Kitty said embarrassed. She noticed that he was holding his painting tools and his paint canvas. "What are you painting?"

"Oh, just taking in the landscape today. It's snowing outside so I was just trying to catch one." Piotr said. She looked at his painting and took a sharp intake of breath. "It's not much."

"It's beautiful Pete!" Kitty exclaimed. Piotr took her hand unexpectedly and pulled her towards the door. They went outside together and a snowflake landed on Kitty's nose. She crinkled it and giggle.

Kitty caught one in her hand and smiled. It didn't melt right away, so she just stood there and admired its beauty. "They are all unique Katya, so beautiful." Piotr said.

"I don't think I've ever seen anything this beautiful before." Kitty said, amazed.

"You look in the mirror everyday do you not Katya." Piotr said with a chuckle. Kitty blushed and looked away. "Nothing can ever be more beautiful than you."

"Aw, thanks Pete but-"

Kitty's words were cut off because Piotr's lips were carefully placing themselves on hers.

His lips are so soft and he's so gentle. Kitty thought. She felt Piotr smile against her lips as he was most likely thinking the same thing.

She so small and fragile. Piotr thought.

Together they thought This will be the best Christmas ever.
