"Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do
Baby all I want for christmas is you"
-All I Want For Christmas is You, Mariah Carey
Ally hated surprises.
Ever since her tenth birthday when her dad had thrown her a surprise party and the rental pony had thrown all over her and her new princess costume, Ally had forbidden anyone from trying to surprise her ever again.
So why then was she willingly letting Austin lead her around the mall to a surprise he had for her while following his instructions to keep her eyes closed?
"Can I open my eyes now?" she asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.
"Not yet," Austin said, his warm breath tickling the back of her neck. "Just a few more steps...Okay, open them."
Ally squinted painfully against the sudden, bright light and waited for her eyes to adjust to the new setting before glancing around the room. She was standing in Sonic Boom, but it looked completely different.
There was silver tinsel hanging on everything from the stairwell to the grand piano in the corner, a fake gingerbread house was sitting on top of the check-out counter, which was now covered with fake snow, and a large, fully-decorated Christmas tree was standing in the back of the store, surrounded by dozens of skillfully wrapped presents.
"Austin," Ally gasped as she walked around the store in awe, "Did you do all this?"
Austin nodded and grinned with satisfaction. "I had a little help from some elves."
Ally looked up as Trish and Dez emerged from the practice room, dressed in matching green tights and head-to-toe elf garb complete with silver bells that jingled off the tops of their shoes.
"Guys this is amazing!" She turned and beamed at Austin. "How did you do all this?"
"Remember a few weeks ago when you were complaining that the store didn't look festive enough?" he asked her. "Well, I asked your Dad if we could put up some Christmas decorations, and used the money from our last webcast to pay for all this stuff."
"You remembered that?" Ally asked, touched. "This is seriously the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. Thank you!"
"Oh! I almost forgot." Austin grabbed Ally's hand and pulled her over to the Christmas tree eagerly. "There's a part two to your gift," he cued Dez to start an impromptu drum roll, and placed a large, red bow on top of his head, "Me! What do you think?"
Ally started to laugh when she noticed a green, leafy decoration hanging above her and Austin-mistletoe. She smiled and leaned up towards Austin shyly, placing a soft, demure kiss on his cheek.
"I think it's perfect," she said earnestly. "Merry Christmas, Austin."
He smiled warmly, and pulled her in for a hug. "Merry Christmas, Ally."
Author's Note: Hi everyone! I'm completely and irrevocably obsessed with Austin & Ally (And Ross Lynch's voice-ahh!). Anyway, this is my first Austin & Ally fic, but I really wanted to post something and All I Want For Christmas is one of my favorite Christmas songs ever. I hope you enjoyed this one-shot, and if you could review that would be awesome. Thanks, and happy holidays!
