Harry Potter rolled over on his bed expecting to feel his wife, only to find cold sheets. He slipped out of bed and went to go find his wife.

He tiptoed quietly down the stairs of the Potter Manor. There, he found his wife staring blankly into space.

"Gin." He whispered try to grasp her attention. I didn't work because she continued to stare. "Ginny." Harry said a little bit louder that time. Ginny jumped. "Oh sorry Harry I was just… thinking."

"I know." Harry said with a sigh. They were all thinking about the same thing because it was the twentieth anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts.

"It's crazy how you can remember some days so vividly, and then others fade away within a week. Like the kids births. I'm not forgetting those anytime soon, but I don't remember at all what happened a week ago."

"Its because you play them over and over in your head, and then you have memories of playing back in your head on top of all the others." Harry explained.

"Mhm." Ginny said.

Ginny looked around. "Why do we always end up in kitchens in the middle of the night."

"I don't know." Harry said. "It was your idea to sneak into the Hogwarts kitchens and eat a bunch of food when we were dating. After that it became a bad habit." Harry said with a smirk.

Ginny grinned. "Maybe so," she said pulling him in for a kiss.

After that they talked until morning, reminiscing and laughing. It were these moments that would never get old to Harry.

Life was good, and as much as he missed those that were lost he was happy which was exactly what they would have wanted
