When Leslie Burke dies people think of the mortality as a accident, but really it was meant to be. Leslie Burke was an angel and she had been sent down to Earth to help Jesse Aarons. Jess had been blinded to love and creativity and passion. Leslie finishes her task when Jess has opened his eyes to creativity, and passion. But when Leslie dies Jess does not relies that this was on purpose for the fact that she had to go for the task was done.
Leslie was the Bridge to Teribithia and I think Jess secretly relies it.
