They say home is where the heart is.

Chouji had munched on his chips and declared Food equals home. His home was where he could get the best food or it wouldn't be considered home. Food was very important you know and home is where you get provided with good food. Therefore if you have a home, you have good food, and if you have good food, you have a home.

Hinata had blushed to the tips of her hair and clasped her hands tightly together. Her home was a frigid place, a place where everyone judged her every move as the future clan leader. As long as she made one tiny mistake, there would be murmurs behind her back and she would feel ashamed and helpless. However when she was with the one person who had tried so hard and done anything to get acknowledged, she had felt safe and satisfied even if he would never look her way. She was happy as long as he was happy.

Tenten considered the woods her home, as she could practice there as long as she liked with…him… and she had been sheltered by the trees whenever she had a fight with her parents and she didn't want to go home. The nights there were peaceful and she felt in sync with the earth.

When Shino heard that, he had actually said something albeit it being very cut and dry. "Home isn't where your heart is, it's wherever you want it to be".

Lee has made his good guy pose and proclaimed that Sakura was welcome to come to his place any time she wanted. Sakura had noticeably inched away from Lee.

Sasuke had scoffed at it when he first heard it. True that he had lived by himself after his brother massacred his family and his "home" was way too big for him to live in by himself, but who needed a home, he had told himself. Who needed a heart? Having a heart led to having emotions, and having emotions was an obstacle to becoming the strongest.

Naruto on the other hand had known it to be true. After all he had grown up alone and was shunned by everyone, and returning to his small empty apartment, which he called a shelter instead of a home, after attending the Academy, was never very welcoming. His home was with his family, the people he had grown to care for and protect with all his heart. It made sense actually. When he was with his friends, he was happy and content, which was what a home was supposed to do, and when he was in his apartment, he wasn't. It was as simple as that.

Sighing, Shikamaru had replied like he usually did with any question. "Che. A home is a building which you live in. What else? How troublesome."

They say home is where the heart is.

May be it is, maybe it isn't.

After all, wherever your home is, there will be people waiting for you regardless of what happens.
