Bella's POV
I woke up with pain all over my body. I had a huge headache and I could feel the bruises all over me. I groaned loudly. What happened to me? I struggled to open my eyes. When I finally did, I was in the middle of a park, well kind of. There was a patch of grass and people, so I figured it was a park. I slowly got up and stretched my aching muscles. There was a kid a few years younger than me with a complicated looking music player. I limped over and tapped him on the shoulder.
"What kind of IPod is that?" I asked, it must've been a new one. He gave me a look like I had grown a second head.
"What?" I was worried, was there something on me. He laughed a little harder than he should have.
"Nobody has IPods anymore; those are so few decades ago." Maybe this kid was crazy…
"What are you talking about? Everybody has IPods." He gave me another look.
"Wake up lady, it's 2087. The new thing is the Sitrixo-126," he said as he showed me the complicated device in his hand. He tapped on the screen and a hologram popped up.
"It's like your IPod on steroids," he said with a grin. When he saw my blank expression, he shook his head and walked away.
2087? What happened to the year 2011? That kid had to be crazy, but I looked around everything was… different. There were no stores anywhere, no food places, nothing. There were just huge industrial buildings everywhere and everyone was hooked up to these weird helmets with screens. Where was I?
