Amy looked out the window, longingly. It was her and Ian's first Christmas together. She wanted it to be special. How, she didn't know.
Amy got up to finish making some last minute preparations. She turned the dial on her radio, and got to work. Amy was cooking and dancing until the music stopped for breaking news.
"Attention all Attleboro residents. It looks like our little town will get some snowfall this Christmas. All your dreaming payed off. Just be careful driving, and have a wonderful white Christmas."
As the music resumed playing, Amy realized this was just what she needed to make their Christmas perfect.
Quickly, she finished up everything. She ran upstairs and grabbed her phone. Dialing Ian, she sat down. When he finally picked up, Amy jumped.
"Hi, Ian."
"Yes, love?"
"When you come out tomorrow, be careful of the roads. I hear they might be slippery."
"Amy, dear, I saw the weather report. You guys will get snow overnight, just in time for Christmas."
"Right, well I have to go Ian. See you tomorrow!" Amy hung up.
Ian was dominion the morning, and he would be disgraced if the house wasn't tidy. Amy worked fast to tidy it up. Even with her fast working, it still got finished late. Amy ate a small dinner of beans, before heading to bed. She couldn't wait to see Ian in the morning.
Amy hopped out of bed. Quickly, she got ready for the day. Showering, getting dressed, makeup. Her usual routine, except for one thing.
Amy grabbed the straightener. She only used it on special occasions, today was one of them.
She brushed her hair out. Curled it, then straighten it out. Her hair fell on her shoulders, perfectly straight.
Amy, then ran downstairs to cook the food. Christmas dinner wouldn't be Christmas dinner without food.
Amy had just finished cooking have chicken, when the doorbell rang.
She rushed over there. Smoothed her outfit, and opened the door.
There stood her boyfriend, Ian, with a...mustache?
"Ian, what in the world is that?" Amy exclaimed.
"A mustache, dear. All of the men have one now." Ian explained.
"Yes, but how am I supposed to kiss you with it?" Amy put her hands on her hips, defiantly.
"Alright, you've got me." Ian pulled the fake mustache off his upper lip.
"A fake? You've got to be kidding me. Ian!" Amy giggled.
"I knew something would happen if I wore it."
"Something sure did."
Ian spun Amy around. "Yes, it did." He swung her into his arms. Amy looked up at him with a childish grin. She knew what Ian was about to do.
Just as Amy had expected, Ian leaned down and kissed her.
"Ian," Amy said, breaking their kiss. "Let's eat some food. Then, have fun." Amy winked at him.
"Alright, I shall wait patiently, by eating."
The two sat down and ate their dinner. Amy listened as Ian told about his trip that had separated them. Ian listened to Amy when she described everything that happened while he was away.
When the meal was done, they went and sat on the couch.
"Merry Christmas, Ian."
"Merry Christmas, to you, love."
Well, I wrote an Amian! Yay? Anyway...it's another entry for #JBE2017!
