Author's Note: This is an entry for DeejaVu's RAWR contest. Don't blame me, my muse ordered me to do it, and then came up with this plot. It's sort of a spin-off from The Beast Within, but since I'm still working on it, I guess this is just a possible future...? To tell you the truth, I don't have the whole thing planned out, so this might just be a 'what if?' sort of oneshot or something. I know it's short. I think I did good. "So...what're we doing tonight?" Darklight asked, clinging to the back of her beloved. She wondered about falling, looking down at the pattern of roof and ground, roof, ground, roof.

"Some Scavengers attacking a R.J. Brande building." Brainiac 5 replied, jumping from building to building. While he was normally teased for being 'dramatic' for doing this while he was a werewolf, it seemed more discreet than running out in the open.

"Ah. The usual suspects." Darky sounded thoughtful. "Last time I checked, they've never had to deal with you like...uh...this way. All you'll have to do is go 'rawr', they'll pee their pants, turn to stone, and voila! Easy butt-kicking."

All he could do was laugh. Brainiac 5 loved it when his companion wasn't afraid to speak her mind, and maybe throw in a pun or two. It was a definately better than how she had been before the Change, as everyone in the Legion chose to call the year he had turned into a werewolf for the first time.

"What's so funny?" she said, mock-inoccent. Before she recieved a reply, they flew to the ground, landing silently. Darklight was a little disappointed; she had enjoyed the wind in her hair.

Once he knew the girl on his back was okay, he nuzzled her once she was standing on her own. "You are. 'Rawr'? Why would I 'rawr'?"

"I dare you to try it." was all she said before seeing the perps. With a determined look on her face, she bolted after them.

"Are you done yet?" The Scavenger Commando was impatient. It was his chance to show his worth, and maybe be promoted to General and finally catch Alexis Luthor's eye.

Hacking into the defense systems, the Scavenger Hacker shook her head. "I under-estimated it." She turned to her superior. "This could take a while." Her eyes traveled to a black-and-white-garbed girl with a Legion belt on her heading towards their squad, and then the Hacker gasped in shock when she saw what was behind the legionnaire. "S-Sir, do you see that?!"

The Commando turned, as did the many Grunts. "Holy shit." He stepped back as the yellow animal came closer and closer until a Grunt fired the first shot and the battle began. This was definately not in his calculations. "Keep at it!" he shouted at his Hacker, and signalled two Scouts to protect her while he joined the fight.

Darklight leaned against Brainy, scanning the ground. Many Scavengers were on their backs and stomachs, groaning. "That was fast. How do you do it?" she smiled up at him.

"I rawred and turned them to stone." he teased. "You didn't do too badly, either. Are you going to call Headquarters and request some Science Police and Ambulances, Mattie...?"

"On it, Brainy. Think you can turn back now?" It was always hard to go back from wolf to human, Darklight knew. If Patch hadn't been teasing him about something, he wouldn't have transformed at all. Brainiac 5 still didn't have full control after two years.

He nodded. "I believe so."

"All right, then. Hide in an alley, and I'll request some clothes for ya."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome, love."
