"GAHH."
Blood spurted spontaneously from the Mist Guardian's mouth. Her triple bladed spear, the Trident, shattered into pieces from an anonymous force.
The Sun Arcobaleno, Vongola Decimo, and the Storm Vongola looked in horror as the Mist Guardian suffered.
Bianchi rushed to the guardian and yelled in a desperate voice "Ch- Chrome!"
-SLAM-
Unexpectedly, the Cloud Guardian walks in…
"Out of the way."
Shoving Tsuna away, Hibari gently lifts Chrome. With eyes of hidden by dark emotions that have never been stirred before, he said –
"If you die, we'll all be in trouble."
Looking at the man with disbelief, Tsuna stares at the man at what he just did.
"Sawada-san, please wait outside." Said Kusakabe, Hibari's 2nd in command.
As Tsuna exits the room, he can't help but glance back at the unlikely scene that unfolded before him.
Chrome was in Hibari's arms. Her deep purple orbs showed eyes of emotions that should've been only seen when she looked at Mukuro.
Not understanding what was going on, the young Vongola exited and sighed in relief. He would question Chrome when she wasn't coughing blood out rather then question Hibari, who would just bite him to death.
"Chrome Dokuro is out of immediate danger for now." says Kusakabe.
"Really! That's wonderful! What did you do to pull her through that condition?" asked Tsuna.
"With the Vongola Ring." Said Kusakabe with a slight smile on his face.
"Hibari pressed her to draw out the power of the Vongola Ring, and to live under her own power. Right now, Chrome is using her own illusions to make up for her missing organs." Explained Kusakabe.
With everyone sighing in relief and their worries vanished, the group relaxed a bit. For a dear friend of theirs has been taken out of critical condition and is recovering, with much promise.
Back in Chrome's recovery room, Hibari is sitting on a stool and stares at the gentle expression that Chrome is displaying. An oxygen mask was placed back on her face to help her get accustomed to breathing, for she was in cardiac arrest when her organs started to disappear.
Sighing with relief uncharacteristically, Hibari frowned and decided to take his leave. Getting up in some sort of unknown rush, he walks toward the door until he hears his name escape from the young Mist Guardian's mouth.
"Hi… ba… ri…"
Glancing from his shoulder at the girl, Hibari sighs and walks toward her. Kissing her forehead lightly, he stares intently at her and whispers "If you don't come out alive, I'll bite you to death."
Walking out the door and closing it with a soft click, Hibari walks toward his side of the base.
Unknown to him, once he left, Chrome smiled a small smile and then went back to her slumber. Awaiting the day when she will thank him for saving her, and for his ever so comforting words of wisdom.
