A Brother and Sister Reunited
An Adventure Time fanfic
Chapter 1
Inside the tree-house on the meadows, Finn was practicing his swordsmanship. He had set up around 3 burlap bags of sand to look like humanoids and began to swing his red sword violently. The first sack sliced cleanly through the midsection and the sand flowed out easily. Finn heaved the sword over his shoulder and gave a downward strike. The burlap split cleanly in two and each half fell to the side. For the final sack, Finn narrowed his eyes, and started to swing the sword like a hammer throw. Gaining momentum, Finn spun towards the dummy at an alarming speed.
Arriving at that moment, Jake walked up the stairs into the main living area where Finn was rapidly approaching the dummy. Jake watched as Finn's sword completely desecrated the bag into nothing more than tinder, cutting through it multiple times.
"Jeez dude," said Jake, "Try not to destroy our house okay? We live here y'know."
Finn recovered from his spinning attack and shook the dizziness away. "Yeah," he said, "But what if the Ice King suddenly launches a surprise attack?" He clenches the swords handle and looks left and right with watchful eyes. Jake rolled his eyes, "Finn, it's been 6 months since he last tried to steal PB or any other princess. Just relax dude." Finn sheathed his weapon and sighed, "Maybe you're right Jake. Maybe the old geezer is finally flying the white flag."
BMO enters the room humming softly. He climbs up on the windowsill and stares towards the Candy Kingdom. Being small, he manages to fit perfectly on the small perch, hugging his knees in tightly. Finn and Jake were surprised by BMO's unusual silence. Finn approaches the little electronic, "BMO, are you alright? How come you're not talking?" BMO puts one of his tiny, blue hands up against the window and heaves a heavy sigh. "I.." He stutters, "I want something to happen. We haven't had a real adventure in 6 whole months. I just wish something exciting would happen." Finn put a comforting hand on BMO's small shoulder. "It will, you just have be patient."
As if on cue, the door to the tree-house rattled with the presence of a visitor. Finn spun around on his heels, making a faint squeak on the floor. He marched towards the door and looked through the peep-hole. He could tell it was a female, but she didn't match PB, Marceline, or Flame Princess' body shape. Ready for any danger, Finn opened the door with considerable speed and force. Jake and BMO were hung back at the foyer steps to lead up to the kitchen and living area.
A young woman was standing in the doorway. She appeared to be 17 with medium length, dark brown hair tied back in a low ponytail. She was wearing a long sleeve yellow shirt and denim jeans. A golden barrette was clipped on the right side of her hair; parting it to the right. She had high black shoes with white laces and white socks to match. She also had burgundy-colored glasses with diamond flowers at both sides. Finn was amazed. She looked very beautiful. "Can I help you?" He said timidly. The woman reached into her jeans pocket and pulled a small white square. From the sunlight behind her, Finn could see it was a photograph, but he couldn't see of what or of whom. The woman looked at the photo, and then looked back at Finn. "Could it be?" She whispered. Finn started to close the door, until she spoke again. "Finnith, is that you?" Finn didn't know why, but he had to turn around. He faced the woman, "How do you know that my name is Finn?" The woman's brown eyes started to mist over. She sank to her knees and wrapped Finn in a warm embrace. "Because you're my baby brother."
