Killian gazed at Emma adoringly, a gentle smile on his face as they walked up the steps to their home together. Emma stopped at the door, turning to look at him with a hint on nervousness in her eyes. As soon as their eyes locked, her own warm smile lit up her face.
"What's that look for?"
"Have I thanked you yet Emma? For coming for me in the underworld, for loving me?"
"Killian, you don't ever have to thank me. I love you. There was no way I could just leave you there without fighting for you. For us."
"Emma you risked everything to come for me, I can't express my gratitude enough. So thank you Emma Swan, for loving me, for fighting for me and for giving me the chance to build a life with you."
Emma wanted to say something back, something deep and meaningful. Something that would bring them both to the edge of tears, something to make him see that there was no choice. Going after him, loving him, it's just a part of who she is now. Emma wanted to say something profound but those words wouldn't come out. Instead an absolutely mischievous smile graced her lips and Emma slipped right up close to her pirate.
"Perhaps gratitude is in order now." She whispered, her arms sliding around his neck. Killian let out a low chuckle, remembering his words from long ago. His own arms encircled her waist a pulling her even closer, leaving no space between their bodies.
"Yeah, that's what the thank you was for." Killian let his nose bump against Emma's lightly.
"Is that all our life together is worth to you?" Emma rubbed her cheek against Killian, speaking softly into his ear.
"Please Swan, you couldn't handle it." He punctuated the words by lightly biting Emma's ear lobe. Emma let out a whimper, trying to remember what the hell she was supposed to say next.
"Perhaps you're the one who couldn't handle it." The words had barely left her lips when Killian abruptly pulled back and then yanked her forward, crashing their lips together. It was everything their first kiss was and so much more. All the same heat and passion was there, with an under current of love that it was simply too soon for them in Neverland. Emma was, to be quite honest, overwhelmed by the intensity of it. When they finally pulled back, their foreheads falling together while they caught their breath Emma searched her brain for what was said next.
"That was-"
"Only the beginning love."
"I'm not sure that's quite what I said."
"My version is much better."
"Is it now?"
"Oh yes Swan. You see in my version we get go to our home, together and that is infinitely better than gathering fire wood by myself." Emma let out an honest to God giggle.
"Mmmm, I don't know Killian. I think I might be interested in gathering fire wood."
"Emma love, I promise you won't need anything but me to keep you warm tonight or any other night." Without warning Emma jumped up, hooking her legs around Killian's waist. She pressed their bodies together tightly and grinned when Killian growled at her.
"Take me inside our home and I'll show exactly what kind of wood I'm interested in." Without another word, Killian carried Emma inside.
The next day when they meet up with the Charmings, Henry, and Regina to discuss Hyde, it was Henry that asked what they did the day before.
"Oh not much lad, just collected fire wood." Killian said with salacious smirk directed at Emma who in turn blushed so deeply she nearly matched her infamous jacket.
"I never want to know." Charming said, ending the discussion before it could really begin and causing Hook to laugh.
So there's that, thanks for reading. Bye!
