It was the holidays of my fifth year when the first letter arrived. I was sitting in my desk in front of the window, doing a History Of Magic essay. I was nearly finished it when I jumped out of my skin. A large, handsome Eagle Owl was outside my window.
"Strange" I thought "Who's owl is that? Maybe Ron got a new one" I let it in and it jumped right on my essay.
"Hey!" I yelled at it, annoyed, as I worked on it for the past 2 days. To my relief, it walked off and up to me. It had a letter. I untied it and sat on my bed. It clicked it's beak.
"What? I haven't got anything for you" I told it, but it obviously didn't understand me.
Sighing, I went to the kitchen and got some bread. Came back upstairs and dropped the bread at it's feet.
"Good enough?" I ask, not exactly knowing why.
It starts to eat it and I take that as a yes. I sit on the bed once more and tear open the letter. I read it and could believe it. It said:
Hermione
I'm sure this is quite the surprise, receiving a letter from me, but I couldn't wait no longer. I'd like to apologise. For anything I did and anything I said. For all the times I called you a mudblood.
But this is not only an apology letter. It's a romantic one. A love letter.
You see, I tease you, pick on you just because I have a crush on you. Since 4th year. At the Yule ball, you were beautiful. I was dancing with Pansy Parkinson when I saw you with Krum, and my blood boiled. Your pretty, smart and helpful. I'm hoping you'll forgive me for everything and.. become my girlfriend. Because I love you Hermione. Love me back?
Draco Malfoy.
I shake. I go to my desk, grab a piece of parchment and a quill and without hesitation write:
Go to hell, Malfoy.
Alright, cutting it there, expect a part two 3. N
