Summary/Author's Note: Um . . yeah, read review and all that. Is it cute? :)

Yes, it was a fine morning. Bright and early in the day, when the dew was still glistening on the petals as the sun rose over the hills.

Yet, it was dark where the flea was. Dark and warm, and comforting as most fleas liked.

Especially, this flea:

Miyouga.

He sighed in contentment, nibbling on the soft skin of his current carrier, a small terrier mix with a penchant for sleeping far too late in the morning. But this meant no scratching, and so Miyouga nestled down further, suckling on the warm life fluid beneath the skin. "Mmm . . ."

And yet something was different with this morning. The shades were not yet drawn, and the child in the bed above them had not yet stirred. But this was not what caught the flea's attention. No. There was a new night light in the child's room. Securely plugged into the wall socket beneath the bed, giving off a strange green glow . . a very tempting green glow . . . and a hum . . . a lulling hum that somehow found Miyouga on his feet, hopping towards it.

Towards that blessed green light and all the happiness it must have held. Oh, and if he wiggled his nose, he could have smelled the very interesting scent of mint and carpet fuzz.

Well, at least the mint was interesting . . .

Bounce bounce bounce he went, ever closer to the greenish glow that beckoned him. The dog gave a warning bark, rousing the child, but not deterring the small flea from his glow.

. . . . . . .

A moment later the child was knelt beneath the bed, staring at the green object in wonder.

"Wow, Tippy! I guess its a good idea we moved the trap in here! That's the fattest flea I've ever seen! I've gotta get Mom!"

The child ran off, giggling madly as Tippy crawled under the bed.

"Miyouga . . "

"Hai?"

"That's the third time this week."
