Chapter 1 Betrayal

Gwen Gates thought nothing more than to go to Trent's house that July 10th evening. Trent Gilmore was her one true love. But what Gwen didn't know was that her heart would be broken that night.

Gwen was on break at the job she loved, Toronto music shop.

"I'm just gonna go now…" She said to her boss, Jen.

"sick day?"

"Sick day" She confirmed. " Alright go ahead"

~10:18 Pm July 10th 2009~

Gwen finally made it back to Trent's place. She walked in to hear groaning in Trent's room. She dashed over to the bedroom thinking Trent was sick.

She walked in to find out that Trent was cheating on her.

Without a word, she ran out of the apartment into the freezing rain. Just then, she fell down in front of a guy.

" I'm sorry" She said in between tears.

"it's alright" The guy said. "you okay?"

He helped her up.

"yeah just in a hurry." She said.

"right, that's why your crying," He said. "need a ride?"

"…yes" Gwen responded to the guy. Even though she couldn't see him, he sounded decent.

"So.. " He said when the two got in his car, "Who are you anyways?"

"Name's Gwen, Gwen Gates, My dad owns the rock n roll hall of fame," Gwen said. "and you?"

" Duncan."

"oh," Gwen said.

"what?"

"Nothing"

"No seriously.." Duncan started getting suspious.

"I like the name that's all." Gwen said. "I'm freezing"

"here," Duncan handed her an extra coat in the back seat.

"Um.. Thanks" Gwen said. She held his coat close. "Where are we going?"

"My place,"

"oh okay,"

" You do need a place to stay right?"

"yes."

"okay then"

~11:44Pm Toronto apartment complex~

" Here we are," Duncan said.

Gwen got out of the car silently. She walked right next to Duncan.

"This is where you live?" Gwen said looking around.

"Yeah, it's decent, and good people that live here…." Duncan said going up to the front desk.

"Haley? You in here?"

"Right here, Your home early…"

"Yeah, um… I brought someone with me…"

"Is It Co- Oh, Hello," Haley said.

"This is Gwen I just met her"

"Oh, well I'm Haley, Welcome!"

"Thanks!" Gwen said.

"Duncan," Haley said as Gwen walked away.

"What?"

"Who is she??"
