Sit Next To Me
The sound of crickets on a moonlit night welcomed the grieving young woman as she sat on the soft grass of a familiar knoll; the gentle roar of a nearby highway concealing her soft cries. Memories of her late mother came flooding back to the blonde twenty year old as she wiped away the tears from her sapphire eyes. A week had passed since the reigning queen had unexpectedly, yet peacefully passed away in her sleep at the age of forty-seven; the heiress still struggling to accept the fact that she was truly gone. Thrust into the position as a head of state, all that the young woman wanted to do was grieve. Finding no solace in her realm, the new queen had sought refuge in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California on this late autumn night. The placid water of the pond in front of her reflected the celestial body; the namesake of her late mother. Life had drastically changed in the six years since the then incredibly immature princess had first set foot on Earth, none more than her relationship with a certain red hoodie clad boy. Over time, the duo had fought many an adversary and shared important life events together. The man she now called not only her king, but her lover, was sure to be looking for the missing monarch. Still, as the clouds began to eclipse the brilliant full moon, for the first time in a week, Queen Star Butterfly felt at peace.
