Emily hesitated for a long moment. Morgan scared her. But his offer had seemed genuine. Finally, she raised her hand and knocked tentatively on the hotel door.

Morgan answered the door naked from the waist up. He looked her up and down once – dressed in pink silk pyjamas and wrapped in the hotel supplied white bathrobe. Emily avoided eye contact, opting instead to stare at their feet.

"You said if I ever had trouble sleeping, that I could come see you," she explained uncomfortably. "I guess I just wanted to take you up on that offer."

Morgan's dark brown eyes softened a little. "I guess this is a tough case than anyone admitted, huh?" He stepped aside to let her in.

Emily's confusion was dispelled as she stepped into the small room.

Garcia, wearing an oversized t-shirt and purple track-pants, and JJ, in her grey pyjamas and also wrapped in the hotel's bathrobe, sat on either side of the bed. Hotch was in the middle, in light blue flannel pyjamas. Garcia was hugging a teddy bear, while Hotch was reading out loud with the book stretched out in front of him so both girls could see the pictures. On the floor nearby, Reid was sitting on a pile of blankets, so wrapped in them you could see nothing but his head. Morgan sat down beside him, and the two resumed watching an almost silent 'Jurassic Park Three' and playing cards.

At the small table sat Gideon. A freshly set Chess board lay in front of him.

Emily crossed the room soundlessly to sit across from him. He took white and made the first move. As she responded to his move, Emily realized she felt a little more like a part of the team. Morgan's obvious defensiveness about the team seemed to have faded regarding her, after the better part of a month, to have let her in on the team's little sanctuary.

Their Unsub showed no signs of breaking pattern, so tomorrow shouldn't bring a fresh body. The new evidence would all be processed, and, between it and the profile, they could arrest the Unsub at their leisure. And then they could go home.

Tomorrow, they would be tired. Tonight, anyone who slept would be plagued with relentless nightmares of what their killer had done. But the entire team would be there for them. And they could face them like they would tomorrow – As a team.
