Emily Prentiss ran up to Aaron Hotchner on his way to his car that night and spun him around and clashed her lips against his in a breathtaking kiss. It took a few seconds for Hotch to realize what was going on, but once he realized who was kissing him, he kissed back.
Hotch pulled back and looked at Emily with a quizzical look on his face. "What are you doing?"
Emily shook her head. "I have no idea, Hotch. I'm not myself tonight. I saw you leaving and I realized that you've been in my head all day long, and I had to do something to change that. I'm sorry if I was too forward sir, but I couldn't help myself. You make me want to lose control."
Hotch ran his hands through her raven hair. "You can lose control anytime you want to with me Emily. In fact I encourage it." He nipped at her bottom lip. "I never told you how I really feel about you Emily, and I apologize for that. I'm just closed off and you've been there every step of the way to make me a better person. Do you think you could ever forgive me?" He asked with hope in his eyes.
Emily thought about this. "Well, I guess I could forgive you Hotch, if you told me how you felt now."
Hotch kissed her passionately then pulled back. "Well Miss Prentiss, I think you're beautiful. I think you have a gift in you that you are able to make anyone's day better just by a joke or a caring touch you give. Your smile makes my day better. Your heart is my favorite part about you though. You care so much for the people you love. You would do anything for them, and that makes you beautiful. You're compassionate, and generous and just a wonderful person. I hope one day I'm like you. But I would like to get to know you better Emily. I want to know your favorite color, movie, song, band, food. Although I'm pretty sure the food one is going to be a touch choice for you," he said with a smirk. Emily lightly smacks him on the arm. "But the best thing about you, the thing that made me start to fall for you, is how you are with my son. Jack loves you Emily. He can't wait to see you; he can't wait for you to read him stories with different voices. He's found someone that he can talk to about things, and I will always be grateful for that. You've been an important part of our lives for a while now, and I hope we're an important part in your life as well. And since you were the first one to make a move, which I'm sorry for because it should have been me, let me be the one to ask you out. Emily Prentiss, would you like to have dinner with me tonight?"
Emily stands there looking at him for a few seconds. She sees him start to squirm and she smirks. "I would love to have dinner with you, Aaron." She leans up and kisses him again. "Chinese."
Hotch frowned. "What?"
"That's my favorite food. See, it wasn't that hard."
Hotch sighed and leaned down to kiss her lips. "What am I going to do with you?"
"I can think of a few things, "she replied then ran away from him. "Pick me up at 8 sir!" She got in her car and sped away to go get ready for her date with her boss. The man that she had been slowly falling for for a year. She looked at Hotch standing where she left him in her rearview mirror and smiled. Tonight was going to be great, she thought.
