Jack sauntered into the briefing room. He grinned when he saw Teal'c, Carter and Daniel in a discussion about something.

"Hey kiddies, what'cha talkin' 'bout?" Jack asked as he sat down.

"The mission." Daniel replied.

"Yeah what about it?" Jack asked genuinely curious.

"About the ruins!" Daniel enthused, "They looked to be Greek because of the flat ceilings but then they had a rounded dome like top so I'm not quite sure what they are."

"Sounds like your normal example of the people on the planet changing a little to me Daniel." Jack answered, "Maybe they figured that they actually wanted some light in the dark dank hallways after all."

Daniel stared at Jack open-mouthed for a moment, "What?"

"I said maybe they got sick an tired of it being dark inside the buildings Daniel." Jack answered.

"But I though you..." Daniel stuttered.

"Hated history?" Jack filled in, "I happen to like the Greeks thank you. They were the ones partly responsible for the Renaissance after all."

"Really?" Daniel raised his eyebrows, he checked his watch, they had five more minutes to talk.

"Yep." Jack smiled. "Through the crusades the medieval peoples learned about the old Greek and Roman scripts. They brought them back and people began to read them."

"Okay where is Jack and what have you done with him?" Daniel questioned.

Sam smiled, and giggled slightly. Teal'c raised and eyebrow and looked over at Daniel then O'Neill.

"I believe O'Neill is right here Daniel Jackson." Teal'c stated.

Jack's grin widened, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure I didn't tie him up and leave him in a cellar." Jack smirked, "But I did remember to stay at Holiday Inn Express last night."

"JAAAACCCKKK!" Daniel and Sam cried in unison.
