How Long?

Locked in that dark, dank space you should have felt depressed, upset, furious, anything the others were. But you couldn't be. Finally the "loopyness" pays off, you don't see how the others can be that depressed, you have complete trust that Harry, Hermione and Ron will come soon. They always do. "The Golden Trio", they detest that name so much. You remember in their sixth year, your fifth, someone called them that in school and Ron and Hermione had to restrain Harry from hitting them.

You watch Mr Ollivander as he gets slowly more depressed, more panicky, and you want so much for them to hurry, to be here now because he's getting worse and you're no longer sure he'll be strong enough when they do get here. You won't leave if he doesn't; he's taken care of you since you both arrived here.

Then when Dean, Griphook and Ted got here he helped them too. Ted has a daughter, you vaguely remember the pink haired Auror who the others knew. He worries about her constantly and someone called 'Dromdeda who you suppose is his wife. You worry about your father, his judgement when upset isn't the strongest, and you don't want him hurt. Of course you also worry about Harry and Hermione and Ron, the DA, the school in general, the first years who those evil, vile Deatheaters torture on a regular, daily basis. You hate that a teacher, even Snape, could let that happen to Hogwarts, the last safe place.

You know you must look awful, you haven't had a real meal in- how long have you been there? You don't know, you're underground so you haven't the slightest idea how long you've been down there. You haven't had a bath either, you feel horribly dirty. You can't see your hair but you can feel it's stringy.

You keep telling yourself they'll be here soon, but you can't stop yourself asking how long. You know that's not fair and it'll only make you feel worse, it makes no difference, you want so badly to know, to get out. You trust them though, you're certain they'll come.
