For my first fic I'm starting out simple, with a poem. It's told from Edward's voice, and it's about how he worries Carlisle can never forgive him for what he's done when he goes and kills humans.

Will you still hold me like I'm your son

Even after I confess I'm not perfect?

Will you still look at me the same way

Even after I tell you I've committed a crime?

Will you love me with everlasting love

That I surely don't deserve?

Can I give you everything you need

Even when you don't need anything but me?

Can I find the courage to stay

When my instincts are screaming "RUN!"?

Can I hold myself together

Because without you, I fall apart

Will you ever forgive me for what I've done

Or will I forever be evil in your eyes?

Will you ever regard me as equal

Or will I forever be below you?

Will you break what trust you have in me

Or will you stay true to your word?

Can you learn to let go

Even when it's like letting a part of yourself die?

Can you let the past stay in the past

Or will you always treat the past like the present?

Can you persuade me to stop

What I know needs to be done?

I guess I'll have to wait and see…
